Barclays Wealth commissioned Cass Business School to co-produce research that would help them to understand when retail investors choose to either increase or decrease their investment in equities relative to institutional investors. Using this information they were able to calculate the effect of this behaviour on the realised returns of both retail and institutional investors. This analysis was written into a full report by Cass professors Andrew Clare and Dr Nick Motson, enabling Barclays Wealth to improve the way in which they launch and present their products.
